4 of The Smartest People In The World

Smarts? "Piissssssh. I aced that IQ test with a hundred. What do you mean it goes higher than a hundred?" Despite how smart you might think of yourself, there's a controversial test that'll tell you how smart you are. The intelligence quotient will tell you if you're "brilliant", or if you can't tell the difference between a apple and a celery stick.

I still can't tell the difference.

Below, you'll find the 'smartest' people in the entire known world by their intelligence quotient. By no means is this a definite list of all the smart people that ever existed, it's not like we can go back to the past, and force people to take IQ tests.

Stephen Hawking

Stephen Hawking is one most well-known "smart" people in this generation. He is a 69 year-old English theoretical physicist and cosmologist. His scientific career spans over 40 years of controversial studies and books, which leads us to a conclusion that he might be a bright guy.

Stephen Hawking has a widely rumored IQ of 160. How much is that? Likely more than your score. Only about 0.5% of the population have greater than 140 IQ. People with that high of a score are in that sweet spot of earning the Nobel Peace Prize, along with a sweet check.

Leonardo Da Vinci

Leonardo could possibly be one of the most talented people in history. Putting the game "Assassin's Creed" aside, he was a  paintersculptorarchitectmusicianscientistmathematicianengineerinventoranatomistgeologistcartographerbotanist and writer. He has created some of the most famous paintings in the world, designed multiple helicopters, calculators and even tanks. Obviously ahead of his time in the 1500s. Doubtlessly, he was a wizard.

Sadly, he didn't decide to invent and take a IQ test during his life-span, and we can't easily determine his IQ score. Although, historians have. They've determined his IQ score at 180.

Garry Kasparov

Garry Kasparov is one of the brightest minds in our modern age. He became the undisputed World Chess Champion at the age 22 in 1985. In the Elo Rating System, we was the number one chess player for his entire career in till 2005, when he retired. He was so good, that he defeated the computer "Deep Blue" that was capable of three million positions per second. (But he was the first grandmaster to later be defeated by a computer. IBM created a second version of "Deep Blue", that was able to barely defeat Garry Kasparov after a intense 7 day match.)

Nonetheless, he was one handsome man.

His IQ has been rated at 190. Although we would love to think that his super-intelligence makes him like the main character of a mystery movie, and every time he's about to beat someone up, everything goes in slow motion as he process the information like in Sherlock Holmes, (The movie) it's likely that life doesn't work that way.

Chess not hardcore enough? Do it on top of a skyscraper.

Kim Ung-Yong

Kim youg- what? Who is this guy? I mean, I've never heard of him in my life! He, is listed as the the man with the highest IQ in the entire world, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Even at birth, he showed off his muscular brain power; At the age of 4 months, he was able to talk, at three years old, he could speak Japanese, Korean, German and English fluently. (He was able to master languages in a month's time.) He even wrote poems and painted beautiful paintings before we were even capable of understanding that electrical sockets aren't made for sticking forks in.

While you were in the ER for sticking forks in electrical sockets, he was busy doing some basic math equations.

He got his Ph.D. in physics at the age of 16, and was obviously a bright guy. His IQ is ranked at 210. That high of a score is un-human. This Korean gentlemen eventually switched his priorities and decided to go back to college for a degree in Civil Engineering. Don't worry, he got his doctorate degree for Civil Engineering too. Obviously, physics was too easy for him.

Fun Fact: The average IQ for an American is 100. Commonly, people range from 95 to 105.
